May, 2020
We hope this finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last year, and we are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We reopened our the office on May 4th, 2020, with several significant changes to our practice. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We monitor these agencies and we are current with new rulings or guidance they issue. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
You will see some changes at your next dental appointment. The following changes are to help protect our patients and staff:
- We will ask all patients and staff to wear a mask when entering the office.
- We have hand sanitizer that you will be asked to use upon arrival.
- Our waiting room will not have magazines, toys, etc.
- Surfaces will be disinfected regularly, and barriers will be used in front.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling.
- We are offering curbside check-in. Please text or call from your vehicle upon arrival.
- We will allow more time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time. Please only bring companions on an as-need basis.
- We have taken measures to sanitize the office air such as installing UV filtration and increase the use of HEPA filters.
- Patients and staff will be screened for exposure and symptoms of COVID-19. Please be considerate of that fact that we will be looking to limit our exposure and as a result, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment as a precaution.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep everyone safe. To make an appointment, please call our office at 303-530-1212. We value your trust and loyalty, and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends!
